Dr. Carroll, DNP, is a nurse practitioner who earned a B.S. in Biology after graduating from high school, after which she worked as a high school science teacher. After a career as a high school teacher, she earned a MSN degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph, now Mount St. Joseph University) as a pre-licensure RN, where she worked in the recovery room, pediatric ICU and pediatric CTICU. She then went on to earn a MSN for Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a Post-Master’s certificate for Family Nurse Practitioner, as well as completed the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, all from F.P.B. School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University and most recently she completed a Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Regis College. Currently, she is pursing certification to become certified as a nurse practitioner in addiction .

In addition to working as a provider at NABHCO, she also works as an adjunct professor and serves as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering on service projects, working with undergraduate students, participating in sorority and other organization functions as well as traveling around the United States and to other countries. She has visited 4 continents, including countries in Central America, Africa, and the Caribbean.

She is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Psychiatric Nurse Association serving as a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee, National League for Nursing, International Nurses Society on Addictions, International Society of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses, Sigma International Honor Society of Nursing, Minority Advanced Practice Association.
